What Features are NOT Supported on Cisco WLC Platforms and Access Point Platforms? The newest Release Note is the Cisco Wireless Controllers and Lightweight Access Points for Cisco Wireless Release 8.1.131.0. What’s new? In this document will share the Features Not Supported on Cisco WLC Platforms and Access Point Platforms.

Notes: All Cisco Wireless Controllers are referred to as Cisco WLCs, and all Cisco lightweight access points are referred to as access points or Cisco APs. In a converged access environment that has Cisco WLCs running AireOS code, High Availability Client SSO and native IPv6 are not supported.

Features Not Supported on Cisco WLC Platforms

Features Not Supported on Cisco 2504 WLC

Mesh (use Flex + Bridge mode for mesh-enabled FlexConnect deployments)

Cisco Flex 7500 Series WLC cannot be configured as a guest anchor Cisco WLC. However, it can be configured as a foreign Cisco WLC to tunnel guest traffic to a guest anchor Cisco WLC in a DMZ.

Note: FlexConnect local-switched multicast traffic is bridged transparently for both wired and wireless on the same VLAN. FlexConnect access points do not limit traffic based on Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) or MLD snooping.
