Appearance and Design

The UAP-AC-LITE is a circular dual radio access point with a diameter of 16 cm and a height of 3.1 cm. It’s made of hard plastic and has a central LED ring that can be turned off, showing its current status. The back has the LAN port and a reset button, which you might need if you’re having connectivity issues. It also comes with a mounting plate that can be mounted on the wall or ceiling.

The UAP-AC-PRO has a diameter of 19 cm and a height of 3.5 cm. It has a hard plastic case with an LED indicator in the middle. It has two LAN ports, a USB 2.0 port, and a reset button on the back. The USB port enables you to connect optional Unifi accessories. In the package you will also find mounting hardware for mounting it to the wall or ceiling.

The UAP-AC-PRO has a more refined design that provides room for more functions.

Speed and Performance

The UAP-AC-LITE features dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz radios with 2×2 MIMO. Offers a transfer rate of 330 mbps at 2.4 GHz and 867 mbps at 5GHz. The device has a range of up to 400 feet and can connect more than 250 users.

UAP-AC-PRO is better than UAP-AC-LITE. It has dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz radios with 3×3 MIMO. Offers transfer rates of 450 mbps and 1300 mbps at 2.4 GHz and 5GHz. It also has a range of 400 feet and can handle more than 250 users.


The UAE-AC-LITE supports POE and can be powered from a compatible network device or using the POE injector included in the package. The Unifi Controller software can be used to configure the device and download the software to a computer or smartphone. This software allows you to monitor and control your access points.

UAE-AC-PRO also supports POE. Unifi controller software is also suitable for monitoring and controlling equipment.
