In this article we will introduce the 3750-X and 3560-X IP Services Switches. Not LAN Base or IP Base, just IP Services Switches. We know that all the Cisco 3750-X and 3560-X have some common features such as enabling applications such as IP telephony, wireless, and video for borderless network experience.

And the Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X IP Services switches are also a part of the X-series family of enterprise-class switches. These IP Services Switches provide full enterprise services that include advanced Layer 3 features such as Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), and IPv6 routing such as OSPFv3 and EIGRPv6. All switches support advanced security, QoS, and management features.

Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X Series Product Activation Process

Any Cisco 3750-X or 3560-X LAN Base can be upgraded to LAN Base and IP Services. For example, once a Cisco Catalyst 3750-X LAN Base switch is upgraded to IP Base or IP Services, it can be stacked with any non-LAN Base switch or stack.
