Huawei S5700 series provides various sub series for campus and datacenter network needs.

(1) The S5700-LI Series supports downlink CSFP ports, providing 2 Gbit/s bi-directional bandwidths.

(2) The S5700-SI Series, act as an access device on a large-sized or medium-sized enterprise network or an aggregation device on a small-sized campus network.

(3) The S5700-EI Series provides Gigabit downstream ports and 10 Gbit/s upstream service ports configurable for different port densities.

(4) The S5700-HI Series offers 40 Gbit/s upstream ports configurable to 10 Gbit/s for flexible networking.

(5) The S5720-LI Series provides flexible GE access ports and 10 GE uplink ports.

(6) The S5720-SI Series can deliver 336 Gbit/s switching capacity.

(7) The S5720-EI Series can deliver 598 Gbit/s switching capacity.

(8) The S5720-HI Series can deliver up to 192 Mpps forwarding performance.

(9) The S5730-SI Series can provide 40 GE uplink ports with an interface card.

Recent years, Huawei S5700 also provides these platforms: Huawei CloudEngine S5731Huawei CloudEngine S5732 and Huawei CloudEngine S5735.

If you have read the official overview of Huawei CloudEngine 5735, you will find this series also provide two platforms, the S5735-S and the S5735-L.

1.Overview of Huawei CloudEngine S5735-S Series Switches

Huawei CloudEngine S5735-S is a series of standard gigabit access switches. This series provides 24–48 flexible all-GE downlink ports and four fixed 10 GE uplink ports. This series also provides PoE switches.

Huawei S5735-S switches are designed for enterprise campus network access and aggregation, data center access. Built on next-generation, high-performance hardware and with the Huawei Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), CloudEngine S5735-S switches boast advanced features, such as enhanced Layer 3 functionality, simplified O&M, flexible Ethernet networking, and mature IPv6 capabilities.

CloudEngine S5735-L series switches are designed for enterprise campus network access and gigabit to the desktop. Built on next-generation, high-performance hardware and powered by Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), CloudEngine S5735-L switches feature flexible Ethernet networking, diversified security control, and support for multiple Layer 3 routing protocols — providing higher performance and more powerful service processing capabilities for networks.
