Huawei Technologies Morocco, a global leader in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), has taken center stage at the Digitech Ecosystem Summit, a two-day event in Essaouira dedicated to showcasing Huawei’s substantial contribution to the digital skills development landscape in Morocco.

In an era where digital transformation is a key driver of progress, Huawei Morocco has played a pivotal role in supporting the country’s journey for the past two decades. The Digitech Ecosystem Summit brings together ICT specialists, government representatives, ministers, and key players from the public and commercial sectors. The summit serves as a platform to highlight Huawei’s commitment to digital skill development and its continuous efforts to encourage the transformation of various industries.

David Li, General Manager of Huawei Morocco, emphasized Huawei’s steadfast commitment to bringing digital transformation to every household. The Digitech Talent initiative, a testament to this commitment, currently involves sixty partner universities with 13,000 students and 1,700 individuals certified.

Nabil Ouchagour, Chief Brand Officer of Huawei Morocco, noted that decision-makers are keen on bringing digital advancements to every home due to the profound socioeconomic impact it can have on Moroccan citizens. The summit recognized the “Coding Heroes,” a team of Moroccan school children who secured the third position in a robotics competition in Dubai.

As part of the summit, awards were presented to the best ICT Academy instructors, students, ambassadors, and winners of the Huawei ICT Competition in Cloud, Network, and Computing. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) were signed on the sidelines of the event, fostering cooperation partnerships in the technological and digital fields.

Huawei’s commitment to education and development is highlighted through its partnership with entities like the Ministry of Digital Transition, Essaouira’s City Council, and the Foundation of Development and Innovation Research in Science and Engineering. These collaborations aim to enhance training programs, providing opportunities for personal and professional development for the youth and other stakeholders.

The Digitech Ecosystem Summit is not just a standalone event; it’s part of Huawei’s broader roadshow, “Huawei Roadshow Maroc 2023,” covering nine cities, including Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Oujda, Fez, Marrakech, Agadir, Essaouira, and El Jadida. The roadshow is a testament to Huawei’s commitment to ongoing innovation, providing a platform to discuss market developments, challenges, and future prospects.

Jad Zhao, General Manager of Huawei Digital Power at Huawei Morocco, highlighted that the occasion is also an opportunity to introduce new Huawei home appliances designed to meet the energy requirements of Moroccan partners and consumers.

In conclusion, Huawei‘s presence at the Digitech Ecosystem Summit signifies not just a technological showcase but a commitment to fostering digital skills, innovation, and collaboration in Morocco. As the roadshow continues its journey, Huawei is set to leave a lasting impact on the digital landscape of the country.
